Los Angeles Auto Body
Wide Body Kit & Aero Installation in Los Angeles
A wide-body build is part engineering, part sculpture. The fenders have to clear the wheels at full lock and full compression, the aero has to sit flush and functional, and every panel gap has to read as factory — not as an afterthought. Donlyson Auto Concepts has integrated wide-body and aero kits on show cars and track builds for two decades.
We work with fiberglass, carbon fiber, and polyurethane components from major manufacturers as well as one-off custom pieces. Every kit is test-fitted, reinforced where needed, and finished to match the surrounding bodywork — whether you want a riveted motorsport look or a molded, seamless street aesthetic.
Fitment is the detail that separates a good wide-body from a great one. We dial in wheel offset, tire sizing, and ride height so the finished stance is intentional and the car drives as well as it looks.
Our process
- 1
Kit selection & test fit
We help you choose a kit that fits your platform and goals, then test-fit every panel and mark cuts, relief, and mounting before anything is permanent.
- 2
Cutting & reinforcement
Fender and quarter-panel cutting to spec, with edge reinforcement and structural support where the body has been modified.
- 3
Mounting & blending
Riveted, bonded, or molded installation per your aesthetic, with panel alignment, gap set, and surface prep for paint.
- 4
Refinishing
Color match and booth application on the new panels, blended into the existing body for a continuous finish.
- 5
Fitment & final
Wheel and tire mounting, offset check, ride-height set, and a test drive to confirm clearances under load.

Frequently asked questions
Do you sell wide-body kits, or do I need to bring my own?+
Both. We source kits from major manufacturers and can also install a kit you provide. We'll recommend the best option for your platform and budget during the consultation.
Riveted or molded — which is better?+
Riveted gives a motorsport look and is easier to service; molded gives a seamless, factory-style finish but is more labor-intensive. We do both to a high standard and can advise based on your goals.
Will my wheels still fit?+
We dial in wheel offset and tire sizing as part of the build so the wheels fill the new arches correctly and clear at full lock. If you're changing wheels, we'll spec fitment before the kit goes on.
Can you install carbon aero without painting it?+
Yes. We fit and mount carbon splitters, diffusers, and wings with proper support and clear-coat protection, leaving the weave exposed.
How long does a wide-body build take?+
A full wide-body conversion typically takes four to eight weeks depending on kit complexity, paint, and fitment work. We'll give you a firm timeline in your estimate.
