What began in 2004 as a single-bay shop in Los Angeles has grown into one of Southern California's most respected custom body and restoration studios. The standard has never changed — only the scale of the builds.
2004 — The First Booth
Donlyson Auto Concepts opens its doors with one downdraft booth and a simple promise: treat every car like it's going to a show. Early work centers on Japanese and European import refinishing.
2010 — First SEMA Feature
A wide-body build lands on the SEMA floor, the first of many. The shop begins specializing in aero kit integration and custom panel fabrication.
2015 — Collision & Restoration Expansion
We add structural collision repair and a full insurance-claim concierge, bringing the same show-grade standard to everyday drivers and accident recovery.
2020 — 400th Build
Four hundred completed builds and a dozen magazine features later, we move into our current Eagle Rock facility with expanded capacity and a dedicated ceramic-coat bay.
Today
Two decades in, we remain a craft-first shop. Limited build slots, full in-house execution, and a finish depth that has become our signature.
